How It Works
Instead of uploading photos to a server, Photo20KB uses modern web technology (HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript) to process everything locally in your browser:
- You select a photo → It stays in your browser's memory (never transmitted)
- Our algorithm compresses it → All processing happens on your device's CPU
- You download the result → Direct from browser memory to your Downloads folder
- You close the tab → Everything is automatically deleted
Tech-savvy users can press F12 to open Developer Tools, go to the Network tab, and compress a photo. You'll see zero uploads to any server. This is proof our privacy claims are real.
